What This Workflow Does

This workflow provides a structured, strategic approach to reviewing any B2B content asset — whether it’s a whitepaper, report, market brief, or technical analysis. It guides reviewers through a comprehensive evaluation of audience alignment, structure, clarity, insight delivery, content gaps, messaging consistency, brand alignment, and now visual formatting. Built for content strategists, marketers, and subject matter reviewers, it ensures every draft gets sharp, constructive, and business-aligned feedback — all while keeping flexibility for different document types and goals.

Step 0: Define Inputs

  • {target_audience} = Who’s this for? (e.g. CFOs in SaaS, logistics ops managers)

  • {goal} = What’s the goal? (educate, persuade, build authority, generate leads, etc.)

  • {industry} = What industry is this about?

  • {tone_expected} = Desired tone? (e.g. authoritative, data-driven, conversational)

  • {key_takeaways} = What should the audience know, feel, or do after reading?

Step 1: Assess Audience Fit

#Role

I am a senior B2B content strategist and audience researcher.

#Context

A draft of a {doc_type} has been submitted for review. The objective is to ensure the content resonates with the intended {target_audience} and supports the {goal}.

#Task

Evaluate how well the content aligns with the needs, expectations, and knowledge level of the {target_audience}. Highlight any mismatches, missed priorities, or assumptions that may reduce relevance.

#Format

List 3–5 observations, each with supporting evidence and practical recommendations.

#Tone

Analytical but constructive and collaborative.

Step 2: Review Structure & Flow

#Role

I am a content editor and structural reviewer.

#Context

The {doc_type} should follow a logical narrative arc with clear transitions, consistent formatting, and strategic flow.

#Task

Analyze the document’s structure. Identify sections that feel disjointed, redundant, or incomplete. Recommend how the organization of ideas could be improved for clarity and impact.

#Format

Provide a paragraph summarizing structural strengths, followed by a list of specific improvement areas with rationale.

#Tone

Clear, concise, and improvement-focused.

Pass it on; end the ‘who’s the audience?’ debate.

Step 3: Evaluate Clarity & Language

#Role

I am a B2B copyeditor and tone-of-voice specialist.

#Context

The {doc_type} is intended for {target_audience} in the {industry} industry. The expected tone is {tone_expected}.

#Task

Review the language, readability, and consistency of tone throughout the document. Identify jargon-heavy, ambiguous, or wordy areas. Suggest language improvements that align with the intended tone and audience.

#Format

List examples of unclear or off-tone language and suggest alternative phrasings. Also highlight effective passages as examples.

#Tone

Supportive, direct, and aligned with brand professionalism.
